About Mama Miche
Miche has spent a lifetime entertaining people with her music, her writing, and her wit. Throughout her life, she has always had a special connection to food from all over the world. From her birth and early years in Southeast Asia to her formative years in Queens, NY, Miche has enjoyed cuisines from almost every corner of the globe. Miche especially loves food from Asia and the Mediterranean region. Miche also takes pride in her Jewish heritage; and the traditional and non-traditional dishes passed down to her by her mom, Eva.
Miche was raised in Queens by her mother, Eva. Their house was always open to friends to come to break bread. In her youth, she developed a love for theater, film, and music and eventually studied at the Tisch School of the Arts where she graduated with a BFA and then worked in music publishing for the next decade. Moving to Nashville to record with her band, Twisted Gypsies, she continued to develop her other passions, including cooking and production. Always entertaining. Like every other singer/songwriter in NYC and Nashville, she waited tables, bartended, and catered for several well-established venues.
Miche learned her way around the kitchen early on, helping her mom prepare meals. She also learned the value of using quality ingredients and presentations to make her dishes extraordinary. She continued honing her knowledge and skills, working for five-star restaurants and fine catering establishments in NYC and later in Nashville, TN.
Miche was born with a love for performing. She performed in musicals and plays and also performs her original music, with a few choice cover songs thrown in. She brings this creative energy to her kitchen, sharing her recipes and their stories. (Listen closely, the background music is likely one of her songs.)
We are glad you are here and hope you keep coming back. Miche is proud to share her passion and love of food and entertainment with you today and for a long time…
