Introduction
This is Mama Miche, and today in the magic kitchen: Kill-her* Quiche
(ham, bacon, broccoli)
I love a good quiche! It sounds fancy because it's French, and foreigners and their Romance languages make everything sound so purdy.
One thing that is truly important on most days in my magic kitchen is ease. Shit has got to be easy. I'm not a trained chef; I'm a simple home cook. I've got a boarding house reach and NY middle-class manners, and I'm not fucking apologizing for who I am.
When we make these meals and videos, I think about holidays and the meal planning around them. This video features my awesome famdamily since this is a recipe your family can make for you on Mother's Day or make any day feel like Mother's Day. It's easy and fancy! Voila!

Ingredients
Makes 6-8 servings
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup diced ham
1/2 cup chopped bacon
⅓ cup diced yellow onion or shallot
1 cup broccoli florets
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups half-and-half or whole milk/heavy cream combo
2 tsp Twice Stolen Spice™
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Pre-bake crust according to directions. (Note 1)

Once the pie shell has pre-baked, remove it from the oven, and raise the oven temperature to 375°F.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ham pre-cooked bacon (we like to air fry it) and onion and cook until the onion is softened. While the onions cook, bring a small saucepan of water to a boil and blanch the broccoli for 1 minute. Drain the broccoli, roughly chop, and set aside.
Scatter the cheese on the pre-baked pie shell, then layer the ham, bacon, and onion, followed by broccoli.
Whisk the half-and-half with the eggs and white pepper in a bowl or a 4-cup measuring cup. Pour the custard over the layered ingredients, filling the pie shell to the brim but not overflowing. Depending on how deep your pie tin is, you may have extra custard, which you can scramble or omelette.
Bake the quiche for 40-45 minutes, or until the top puffs and begins to brown and a toothpick comes out clean. The center may still be somewhat jiggly.
