Mama Miche’s Magic Kitchen
Makes Your Kitchen MAGIC!
Welcome to my recipe collection. Here you will find my delicious dishes, both new and old. I will also share my take on some essential kitchen standards. All of these are designed to be simple and prepared quickly (though some recipes can take a long time to actually cook). I hope you enjoy them.
Eggs Royale
This is Mama Miche, and today, in my magic kitchen: Eggs Royale
You make an omelette or poached eggs, toast a couple of English muffins, and top with lox, an egg, and hollandaise sauce!
For Mother's Day or any day, this is a delicious meal. Upscale brunch or brinner, this is a vibe.
Peanut Sauce
This is Mama Miche, and today in my Magic Kitchen: Peanut Sauce
Didja’ know that I was born in Saigon and lived in Bangkok until I was 4 years old? Fun fact: Although my parents were American, they didn't speak much English to me, so I learned English in kindergarten when we moved to New York.
Southeast Asian food rocks my world. You should make this quick and versatile dip even if your PB jar is full. Peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, garlic, chili flakes, and pepper come together to make a delicious dip. Add to cucumbers, salad, noodles, or satay! It's versatile and fucking fantastic in so many ways. You should make it and make your kitchen magic! MMMK!
Boursin-ish Cheese
This is Mama Miche, and today in my Magic Kitchen: Boursin-ish
I have always loved cheese. I'm a cheesy girl, I admit it. I'm also a girl who loves to save money and eat healthier at the same time. My BFF, Lauri, used our Twice Stolen Spice™ to make her homemade Boursin-ish cheese. I asked her what else she used, and here we are.
Linguine with Clam Sauce
Twenty-one years ago, I went to Memphis for Labor Day weekend to play at a music festival and spend time with the guy I had started dating. His birthday was the following week, so I offered to cook him a homemade birthday meal. I went all out with several courses and outfit changes and was as extra as could be. So extra. I can laugh about it now. I wanted to share the main course recipe with y'all, and it struck me that I should make it for my hubster's birthday and record it for our channel. Twenty-one years ago, I made him this meal in hot pants. Now, I'm more of a yoga pants gal. It's a good thing we had a shared love language… Food!
Pasta Bake
This is Mama Miche, and today in my magic kitchen: Pasta Bake
Baked ziti, spaghetti, and even lasagna are essentially pasta bakes. Pasta, sauce, and cheese are the main ingredients; they are all inexpensive and filling and can be made to feed large crowds easily and affordably.
I'm a cheese lover, but to be honest, it's the sauce that makes or breaks a pasta bake. It's got to taste good and be plentiful, or it'll be dry, and nobody wants that.
